Abhishek Kumar is a student of Xth semester of 5 years Integrated MSc course in Photonics in CELOS. He joined CELOS in the 4th batch of the Integrated M.Sc. course in 2005 and is expected to complete the course in 2010.

His primary academic interest is in Optoelectronics in general and in Condensed Matter Theory in particular. His other interests involve Quantum Mechanics, Statistical Mechanics, Laser Physics and Integrated Optics.

His VIth semester course project was “Implementation of WDM System”. He intends to seek his professional career in Optical Communication and Optoelectronic industries as a technological expert.

Abhishek is a student member of the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE), Optical Society of America (OSA) and Photonics Society of India (PSI). He has been a volunteer and participant in many national and international academic conferences like Photonics-2004, Plasma-2005, Indo-UK Workshop on Fibre Optics-2006 and 2008 etc. His native town is Ara, Bihar,India.
